Are you familiar at all with the concept of Tsukumogami? That would probably change your view of things as 'alive' or not. As it is, I have existed for at least 600 years, maybe more.
I haven't injured anyone, and nothing in this has to do with laziness. Unless you receive a report that I've caused a disturbance, I don't see how that should concern you.

just because you havent hurt anyone yet doesnt mean you wont its a threat to public safety to swing a sword that large around as carelessly as you were and the fact that you cant be bothered to find a safe place to practice is entirely laziness

Training outside in a near-deserted place with such a large blade is safe, and I am not interested in discussing that point further.
