that almost seems contradictory then why go out of your way to keep people alive if you just tried to kill them? unless the monsters and the support came from two different sources
i lean toward two different sources myself we never really encountered anyone or anything that took credit for the supplies while Retrospec denied responsibility for the monsters running loose in the city
so then the supplies probably werent retrospec you think theyd take credit for that if they were so either they were lying about the monsters or both sources are currently unknown unless people figured out where the monsters were from
I can only say that no one claimed responsibility for the supplies given to the group I was in. I'd have to check with people from the other groups if anyone claimed responsibility for theirs.
Technically, the monsters are derived from the memories certain users have received. I happened to see someone's memory in July and one of the monsters that appeared in August was in that memory.

employees, so maybe they just keep everything well contained.

you also have to install the right electronics for that though thats like someone coming in and replacing all of your stuff while you were sleeping so they could take control over it youd think someone wouldve noticed something
